To avoid standard head bolts stretching or snapping under high boost conditions, FTWL have designed and manufactured M12 studs and nuts. These are 2mm thicker than the OEM counterpart and can hold an exceptionally high level of boost. We recommend that you fit these to any turbo or supercharger build even if you're only looking for a 'low' level of boost, as this not only makes your engine more reliable, but also future-proofs the build for the next time that you decide to turn it up a level.

• Comes with studs and compact 16mm-headed nuts

• The head, head bolt washers and head gasket(s) should be drilled to 12.5mm diameter.
• The block will need to be drilled and tapped to an M12x1.5mm thread. Let a machine shop do this if you do not have the tools needed to drill straight.
• Loctite 3020 is recommended for use on the head gasket(s) before full assembly for further strength. Check our listing here.
