The best sealing head gaskets on the market
Designed and manufactured in Italy, these head gaskets are designed specifically for high-performance use. The gasket itself can be split into two main components: The gasket and the sealing rings. The gasket is made from steel and an outer composite layer with high-build silicone beading allowing for a lower-quality surface finish than MLS alternatives. The sealing rings, made from stainless steel have small cutting grooves which seal the combustion chamber much more tightly than all other types of gasket.
Both of these components when combined end up creating an extremely capable gasket able to hold together much better under high boost pressures when compared with other gasket styles.
In our experience, the correct sizing (and best seal) comes from the 87.6mm bore size. Whilst Athena recommend using a cutting ring only 0.5-1.0mm larger than the cylinder bore, in this case, we suggest disregarding this specification, especially under higher boost pressures (18psi+).
